Zoe’s had glasses for over 2 1/2 years. By now, I should know that I can’t get shirts with anything but the loosest neck over Zoe’s head without taking her glasses off first. But I still forget on a regular basis (and yes, I forget to take my own off when I’m getting dressed – slow learner here). Normally, Zoe reminds me, but today we had a particularly awkward encounter trying to get her swimsuit on with her glasses still on her face. I’m pretty sure it looked pretty hilarious. I expect I’ll remember to reliably take her glasses off right about the time she is able to get all of her shirts on and off herself.

I am the same way with the clothes and we also forget to take her glasses off when we put braids in her hair and end up braiding the cable temples along with the hair stuck under them!

I do that to Reid all the time too. He’s just had glasses for so long that I guess I must think that they are just a part of his face. 🙂

We have this problem with Belle too – and lately it was her hair always getting caught in the hinge of her glasses. Also, her hair getting trapped under it when she puts her glasses on. We ended up getting her hair cut to take away some of the unrulyness but its still long – and another reason why I like to style her hair up instead of wearing it long (her preference).
