In honor of Thanksgiving Day here in the US tomorrow, I’ve been thinking about what I’m thankful for:
A pediatrician who took seriously our concerns about Zoe’s eyes crossing.
- A pediatric ophthalmologist who we trust, and who really spends time with Zoe and knows her and her eyes.
- Patient opticians who have adjusted Zoe’s glasses countless times, and who have provided so much wonderful advice on the selection and care of glasses.
- Microfiber cloths, that are scattered throughout our house, so they’re always on hand to clean the always dirty lenses.
- Glasses that help Zoe see (and that are darn cute to boot)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! What are you thankful for?
Thankful for infantsee program which is the only reason we caught my son’s cataract! Thankful that we have made it one year of patching a toddler all day. Thankful for eye support!

I think kids with glasses are really very cute.
We take things like eye sight so for granted and I am thankful that I only have to wear glasses to see in the distance. 🙂

Thankful for this support group! Thankful that Paris’s eyes are so much better since we began this journey. Thankful that we have the best opthalmologist looking after her eyes. Thankful that her glasses help her to see. Thankful that I have three healthy, smart, beautiful children and a wonderful husband who has supported me through this journey and listened to all my fears and assured me it will all be ok… and it is 🙂

I feel thankful for all these things: 1. God’s love and providence 2. loving parents and siblings 3. loyal relatives who help us at home 4. fulfilling career 5. my tutees 6. my friends and most importantly 7. my husband and my baby. With all these to thank for, there is no room for depression. Just good reasons to feel very blessed.
